All Enlightened Masters
have been saying “be silent”. Everything lies in Silence [Moun]. Honestly to
say, initially I misunderstood it. I thought being silent means there is no
noise or noiseless state. On the top if there is silence then how can there be
any activity. It seems to be very contradictory. Therefore I thought today,
to pen down on this truth “Art of being Silent”
There are 4 states of Silence and each state has its own beauty:
1. Body Silence
Yogic people know what does this mean.
Our body has its own silence (Health) which is very beautiful. Certain
Yoga practices on our body helps us to reach this state. Once you know it move
forward to the next one i.e. Mind Silence.
2. Mind Silence
Mind has its own Silence i.e. thoughtlessness
state. There are no thoughts in the mind for some time. This is higher than
the body Silence and is very beautiful. People who follow contemplation technique
are able to experience this. Once you experience this and are stabilized in
this state move forward to next one i.e. Feeling Silence.
3. Feeling Silence
Feeling is at the heart center. We can
also call it as Sub conscious mind which is deeper than our conscious mind. It
is subtler than the mind. The heart center is also known as love center. Once you
feel silence at this center love (here love doesn’t mean sex) flows. Sufi’s
are known to be at this center. Once you experience this and are stabilized in
this state, move forward to the last one i.e. Being Silent
4. Being Silent
This is the last state of Silence. It is also called as [Turiya]. Just
be. It doesn’t mean there is no sound at this state. It has its own divine sound [Source
less Sound of Existence], its own divine light [Source Less Light of Existence]. Do refer
Existence
(God) Dimension. Experience and be stabilized in this state i.e. being
(real self) or whatever name you want to give. Remember the words are only
pointers. Do not get stuck with the words. Catch the experience which it is
pointing. When we are in this state we are existence.
