Meditation - Transforming Sex Energy

Existence has given the most potent and powerful energy i.e. sex energy (refer point no 2.Etheric Body State in 7 States of Human Being), to all living beings which are created by sex.

Except for Human beings who can use this energy for creativity or higher dimensions, if properly channelized, none of the other living beings can do it.

Sex energy has 3 possibilities:

[1] By default Sex energy goes in sexual activity, which is a must for creation.

[2] If Sex energy is suppressed, then that suppressed energy can have lot of negative physical and psychological impact.

Some people feel that to suppress sex energy means celibacy or [brahmacharya]. No, it doesn’t mean that. On the contrary it is very dangerous. Just imagine you press a spring hard, the moment you leave it, it will bounce back and might injure you.

We might have observed that old people (especially men) who have repressed sex in younger times and  who are currently physically not sexual compatible tend to have more sexual tendencies then an normal ordinary man. Especially in crowded bus or trains they take opportunities to physically touch women. In some cases it is vice versa (i.e. women) also. It also gives rise to Stalkers, Voyeurism etc.

[3] Sex energy if properly channelized can be beautifully transformed to creativity or any natural creative activities (e.g. dancing, painting etc.)

Before we go further, Do read What is Meditation and Meditation - FAQ 1, especially the Q.What is Meditation Technique, if you haven’t read.

Today we will be discussing the Meditation technique for the above point no 3. Transforming Sex Energy.  It is called as Anal Lock [Mool Bandh] and Naval(Stomach) Lock [Udaan Bandh] (Refer 3.Hatha Yoga in Yoga–Introduction-Part 1)

Who should do

  • Any person who want to transform their sex energy into creative activities or higher dimensions of life.
  • Any person who is tired of being a sex addict and wants to overcome it.
  • Any person who is suppressing sex due to uncontrollable external factors.

How to do
  • Preferred to do it on a empty stomach or at least after 1 hour of food.
Set 1:
  • Exhale out completely through mouth or nose with a jerk on your naval (stomach)
  • Stomach will contract [Udaan Bandh]
  • Slowly the Anus will be locked automatically. Initially you may have to pull your anus on the upward position [Mool Bandh] without physically touching it.
  • Hold your breath after exhalation for 1-5 sec
  • Release Anal Lock [Mool Bandh]
  • Release Stomach Lock [Udaan Bandh]
  • Inhale

How many times to do
  • Do it 250-300 times (Sets) total in a day. Time and Set means the same.
  • At one sitting 25-50 times(Sets). After an hour do next sitting. Equally distribute 250-300 times. Do not do 250-300 times at a single stretch in a day. E.g. If you do it 50 times in 1 sitting then you may have to do it in 5 (250 times) or 6 (300 times) sittings.
  • Do it for continuous for a max of 6 months. Then stop. Do not continue with this for more than 6 months.
  • If the  excessive sexual urge starts again do it after a gap of 3-6 months.

How much time
  • 1 time(Set) takes around 3-5 seconds approximately
  • Total in a day 10 – 15 minutes approximately

What actually happens
Mool means root chakra or Muladhara. Udaan is related to Swadhisthana chakra.
When we exhale out and put Anus [Mool Bandh] and Stomach [Udaan Bandh] Lock, a vacuum is created. The energy stored at this centres moves to the upper chakras (refer Chakras, Yoga and Healing) which opens the higher dimensions of life.

Key Points
  • We can do this technique while sitting or walking.
  • Sex Energy is a very potent energy, which can be used, misused or suppressed.
  • Remember Energy doesn’t understand right or wrong, good or bad. Its upto us, how we use it.
  • Sex Energy is not necessarily sex or thoughts of sex. Some old people can have thoughts of sex but may not be strong enough to have physical sex.
  • Very weak person,  people who had surgeries, glaucoma should not practice this technique.
  • Today, because of technology people especially young, are exposed to excessive sexual and pornographic material. Many of them just get so lost into it, that they are not able to focus on anything. They are addicted to it. This technique will help them not only to come out of this, but put their energies in creative and productive activities.
  • This technique will only transform those excessive sexual urges into creativity.

Wisdom Pointer:

  • Transform sex energy to explore higher dimensions of life.

Jokes-Introduction

Why Jokes?

”This is worth considering. It is significant. The first thing to understand is that except for man, no animal is capable of laughter. So laughter shows a very high peak in the evolution of life. If you go out on the street and see a buffalo laughing, you will be scared to death. And if you report it, then nobody will believe that it can happen. It is impossible. Why don’t animals laugh? Why can’t trees laugh?

There is a very deep cause for laughter. Only that animal can laugh which can get bored. Animals and trees are not bored. Boredom and laughter are the polar dualities, these are the polar opposites. They go together. And man is the only animal that is bored. Boredom is the symbol of humanity.

The higher the intelligence, the greater is boredom. The lower intelligence is not bored so much. That’s why primitives are happier. You will find people in the primi-tive societies are happier than those in civilized ones.

The higher the level of intelligence and civilization, the greater the boredom.

So the secret can be understood. The more you can think, the more you will be bored; because through thinking you can compare time as past, future and present. Through thinking you can hope. Through thinking you can ask for the meaning of it all. And the moment a person asks: ”What is the meaning of it?” boredom enters, because there is no meaning in anything, really. If you ask the question, ”What is the meaning of it?”, you will feel meaningless. And when meaninglessness is felt, one will be bored.

Man feels bored. And laughter is the antidote. You cannot live without laughter; because you can negate your boredom only through laughter.

Laughter is needed for you to exist. Otherwise, you will commit suicide."

How a Joke works?

”Now try to understand the mechanism of laughter and how it happens. If I tell a joke, why do you laugh? What makes you laugh. What happens? What is the inner mechanism? If I tell a joke expectation is created. You start expecting. Your mind starts searching for what the end will be. And you cannot conceive the end. ”A joke moves in two dimensions.

First it moves in a logical dimension. You can conceive it. If the joke goes on logically to the very end, it will cease to be a joke; there will be no laughter. So suddenly the joke takes a turn and becomes so illogical that you cannot conceive it. And when the joke takes a turn and the result becomes illogical; then the expectation, the tension that was created in you, suddenly explodes. You relax. Laughter comes out.

Laughter is the relaxation. But tension is first needed. A story creates expectation, suspense and tension. You start feeling the crescendo. Now the crescendo will come. Something is going to happen. Your backbone is straight like that of a yogi. You have no more thoughts in the mind. The whole being is just waiting. All the energy is moving toward the conclusion. Suddenly something happens which the mind could not think of. Something absurd happens – something illogical, irrational. The end is such that it was impossible for logic to think about it. And you explode.

The whole energy that had become tense inside you suddenly gets relaxed. Laughter comes out through this relaxation.

Man is bored. Hence he needs laughter. The more bored, the more laughter he will need. Otherwise, he cannot exist."

3 Types of Laughter

”Thirdly, it has to be understood that there are three types of laughter. The first is when you laugh at someone else. This is the meanest, the lowest, the most ordinary and vulgar when you laugh at the expense of somebody else. This is the violent, the aggressive, the insulting type. Deep down this laughter there is always a feeling of revenge."

”The second type of laughter is when you laugh at yourself. This is worth achieving. This is cultured.  And this man is valuable who can laugh at himself. He has risen above vulgarity. He has risen above lowly instincts – hatred, aggression, violence."

”And the third is the last – the highest. This is not about anybody – neither the other nor oneself. The third is just Cosmic. You laugh at the whole situation as it is. The whole situation, as it is, is absurd  – no purpose in the future, no beginning in the beginning. The whole situation of Existence is such that if you can see the Whole – such a great infinite vastness moving toward no fixed purpose, no goal – laughter will arise. So much is going on without leading anywhere; nobody is there in the past to create it; nobody is there in the end to finish it. Such is whole Cosmos – moving so beautifully, so systematically, so rationally. If you can see this whole Cosmos, then a laughter is inevitable. “

- By Osho (During his discourses on the AKSHYA UPANISHAD)

I will share jokes in further blogs.

Wisdom Pointer:

For the spiritual seeker, even laughter should become a part of Sadhana. Remember to avoid the first type of laughter. Remember to laugh the second. And remember to reach the third.

Transforming Quotes-1

Sometimes we are stuck in our life and we need a way to come out of it. If we are a bit aware then even one genuine quote can not only get us out, but can also transform our lives. With that intention, I am sharing a few good quotes, including those by the enlightened ones.

Before that, I would suggest you to read the quotes in the following fashion or manner:

How to read quotes :

  • Go slow while reading quotes. Stop other work.
  • First time read the quotes as it is, word to word without understanding the meaning, but with full attention.
  • Close your eyes for a few seconds. Let the quote penetrate into your subconscious mind (Here the transformation happens). Do not contemplate now.
  • Open your eyes and read the quotation again as you read it generally with contemplation and understanding.
  • Then go for the next quote in the similar fashion given above.

Now for the Transforming Quotes:

1. "Bliss is not something to be got. On the other hand you are always Bliss. This desire [for Bliss] is born of the sense of incompleteness.

To whom is this sense of incompleteness? Enquire. In deep sleep you were blissful. Now you are not so. What has interposed between that Bliss and this non-bliss? It is the ego. Seek its source and find you are Bliss." – Ramana Maharishi

2. “A person searching for God is like a fish searching for water.” – Unknown

3. “We are not human beings having Spiritual Experience, but Spiritual Beings having Human Experiences” - Pierre Teilhard de Chardin

4. "Most of us do not know what love means. So, out of that loneliness, out of that insufficiency, out of the privation of life, we are attached to something, attached to the family; we depend upon it. And when the wife or the husband turns away from us, we are jealous.

Jealousy is not love; but the love which society acknowledges in the family is made respectable. That is another form of defense, another form of escape from ourselves.  So every form of resistance breeds dependence.

And a mind that is dependent can never be free." – J. Krishnamurti

5. “Religion is belief in someone else’s experience. Spirituality is having your own experience” – Deepak Chopra

6. "Surrender gives you the eyes to see God, and everything that is brought to these eyes becomes Divine." - Osho

7. "All the gadgets, jets, the refrigerators, the rockets, the exploration into the atom, space, they are all the result of knowledge, thought. All these are not creation; invention is not creation; capacity is not creation; thought can never be creative because thought is always conditioned and can never be free. It is only that energy which is not the product of thought that is creative." – J. Krishnamurti

8. "The highest form of human intelligence is to observe yourself without judgment." – J. Krishnamurti

9. "The more you know yourself, the more clarity there is. Self-knowledge has no end - you don't come to an achievement, you don't come to a conclusion. It is an endless river." – J. Krishnamurti

10. "Self-knowledge is the beginning of meditation - not the knowledge that you pick up from my books, from authorities, from gurus, but the knowledge that comes into being through self-inquiry, which is self-awareness." - J. Krishnamurti

Wisdom Pointer:

A single or couple of transforming quote/s at the right time and right circumstance can transform our life.
