Love - Four Levels

The most stupid thing to do is to define love with words and language. However said this I am doing the same, because there is no other way than this to communicate via a blog. Kindly remember that these are only pointers to go beyond mind and do not use this as knowledge to store in the mind.

There are four levels of love
1. Physical Love: This can  also be called as love which we get during  physical sex. This is the basic love. There is a very strong affinity towards it. It has to be that way only, otherwise pro-creation would never have happened. Accept it in totality. We can make this level as very meditative. It is as follows:

  • Each of the partners should think and feel each other as God and Goddess respectively. When there is this feeling, the state of our being automatically changes.
  • Make the environment very cool, comfortable and cozy. Light some good herbal incense sticks.
  • Make the room dark
  • Light a candle
  • Partners should sit opposite each other in front of the the candle light without clothes.
  • Each partner should imagine that they are divine beings.
  • Just see in each other’s eyes in a relaxed manner for at least 30 minutes. Do not see the watch whether it is 30 minutes or not. Just drop your mind. And let go yourself. If you feel like crying, laughing, or anything - do it, but do not loose contact of eyes and do not touch each other.
  • After 30 minutes (approx.) just flow into the physical urge of sex.
  • In the end, express gratitude to each other.
2. Mind (Romantic) Love: This love is generally in the mind. Each person has some ideas, concepts, imagination, stories about how love should be. Couples want to go together, share moments etc. to experience this. There is less physical intimacy here.Mind becomes relaxed in this state.

3. Love (Feeling): This is the 3rd level of love. When we pass through the 1st two levels of love (although not necessary), we reach this level. A deep sense of belonging arises at this level. What we call as feeling, comes from our sub conscious mind. We always want to give and share in this state.

4. Ultimate (Compassion) Love: This is the last and ultimate level of love. A deep sense of oneness starts entering into us. We feel as if all are one and the same. E.g. If I have 1 kg of cotton and you also have 1 kg of cotton, it is one and the same, but physically they are different. When we say one and the same, it means that in the inner world we are the same content. Compassion starts overflowing at this state. Love flows so profoundly that even if somebody wants to hurt us, we will not be able hurt that person. This feeling doesn’t come out of conscience(rules given by society), but it comes from consciousness(connection with the existence itself)

Wisdom Pointer: Love at each level is important. Do not deny any of the states. Accept it in totality and with awareness. If you are love, then you will be blissful in all aspects of your life.
